This is my first official training update and even though it’s super short I am very excited to finally be making some progress on my road to Cleveland.
But first - some fabulous news... earlier this week my cardiologist officially cleared me to walk 5km which is a good thing because I have 3 events coming up in the next 6 weeks. His clearance for running will (hopefully) come after my stress test in early May.
This week I have been out and walked 2km without the walker 3 times. I would have pushed it a bit further or done more but one of my oldest friends is getting married tomorrow and I want to have a great day with her.
I have begun building my full/very short training plan to get me ready for May 19th. Details to follow as it is finalized next week.
